Early Years:

Matt is a “first generation American” born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire. His father immigrated from Germany as a child and became a naturalized U.S. citizen. His parents met in the Midwest before moving to New England and starting their own business. As the son of entrepreneurial parents, Matt learned early on the values of hard work, resilience and compassion for others. After graduating from Londonderry High School, Matt honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. There he was selected honor graduate having demonstrated the highest level of discipline, proficiency, physical fitness, and leadership qualities within his company during recruit training.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree in Colorado and his law degree in Connecticut. While in law school, Matt was selected for the mock trial team and competed in national advocacy competitions through the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now the Association for Justice), which he remains a proud member of today.

Legal Experience & Approach

Matt has dedicated nearly 25 years to being a trial lawyer, with a focus on personal injury, appearing in both state and federal courts in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He trained under some of New Hampshire’s most respected trial lawyers, gaining valuable insight from each experience. More recently, prior to opening Stachowske Law, PLLC, Matt worked for a decade as an associate and eventual partner at a mid-sized firm in Portsmouth, NH.
